THE CONTAINER
Build What Holds You
Day 1: Build Your Container
By Brighton Dior Ceasar / RAE Performance Labs
Start Day 1 FreeMeet Ace
His real name is Ari.
At school and with friends, he goes by Ace. He’s a capable high-school scholar. He can do well and still have a lot on his mind.
There’s a grade he cares about. A group chat he keeps checking. Expectations at home. Questions about his future and where he belongs.
Today, Ace starts with a different question: “What am I building?” His container holds his identity, his standards, and what he chooses to let in. Some things are his to act on. Others need support or a change around him.
Future Self
Not a perfect version of you. A version you can practice being today.
Where am I right now?
Check your current state. This is information, not a score.
What am I building?
Think about your roles: scholar, teammate, friend, sibling, creator, leader. Which parts of you do you want your actions to show?
Choose standards you can act on, like following through, being honest, or asking for help early. Evidence makes identity believable.

My move or a real barrier?
You might be able to change a habit, ask a question, or take a first step. Bullying, discrimination, unsafe situations, unmet accessibility needs, or missing and confusing instruction are real barriers. They are not failures of your mindset.
A trusted adult, teacher, counselor, coach, or guardian can help with a real barrier. You do not have to handle it alone. If you are unsafe, get to a safer place and contact a trusted adult or emergency help.
Reset before the next move
- Take a comfortable inhale.
- Let the exhale be a little longer and easy.
- Release your shoulders and loosen your jaw.
- Let your feet settle against the ground.
No breath holds. No counting. If it feels uncomfortable, breathe normally. A reset can help you prepare; it does not remove an external barrier.
One Next Move
Choose something specific you can try in the real world. Asking for support counts. Come back after you try it.
Game Film
Look at what actually happened, without turning it into a judgment about who you are.
